Helping Tees Valley students reach their potential

The High Tide Foundation is an independent charity delivering meaningful work experience and career programmes to schools, colleges, and young people in the Tees Valley.

Our Managing Director, Owain Brennan, has served as a volunteer, marketing manager, and project coordinator at The High Tide Foundation for over 4 years. When we set up SeerBI, we knew that we still wanted to be involved in The High Tide Foundation and everything they do to support the young people of the Tees Valley area.

Over the last year, Owain has supported The High Tide Foundation in developing and pivoting onto a digital work experience platform to allow the foundation to function during the COVID-19 pandemic and reach more students than ever before.

Recently The High Tide Foundation hosted a 3-day virtual work experience based around entrepreneurship that we were more than happy to take part in. The event involved working with the students to develop their own business plans from idea creation to finances marketing and app design along with other Tees Valley businesses like Better Brand Agency.

At the end of the event, the students had the opportunity to present their business dragons den style to a panel of judges. The winning submission was a food delivery service app focused on being eco friendly with electric delivery methods and a focus on locally produced goods.

We look forward to taking part in even more events with The High Tide Foundation in the future to support the young people in the Tees Valley area and connect more classrooms with careers.
