By creating an advanced system capable of recognising and converting handwritten text from young learners into digital format, we can streamline the assessment process and enhance educational outcomes. For instance, teachers can quickly scan students’ written assignments, and the model will transcribe and analyse the content. This innovation not only saves educators valuable time but also provides more immediate and personalised feedback to students, ultimately fostering a more effective learning environment.
Language Model for Marking
Building upon the initial model, Assessable’s next phase focuses on automating the marking of students’ work using standardised papers and examples provided by teachers and students. By leveraging a repository of standardised assessments and annotated exemplars, the model can evaluate student submissions against established criteria. This approach ensures consistent and objective grading across various subjects and skill levels. Teachers can submit assignments or test papers, and the system will analyse and score them, pinpointing areas of excellence and those needing improvement.
Innovation Funding Support
Seer played a pivotal role in helping the Assessable project secure innovation funding from the Tees Valley Combined Authority through the Stable program.
